Mutek's Black Box Flight Recorder for Software
Mutek's Black Box Flight Recorders for Software operate much like an airplane's in-flight recorder. Mutek's Black Box transparently records the online operation of client and server applications at multiple levels, from the user experience, through system-level operations and application performance, and down to the program's code lines executed by the running process. Dedicated front-end consoles, AppSight and BugTrapper, are easy to use interfaces to replay, analyze and pinpoint software malfunctions recorded by the Black Box. Data captured at the user, system and code levels are completely synchronized, allowing visible symptoms to be matched with the underlying processes and code execution path. Through this unique penetration into dynamic application behavior, customers pinpoint the exact reason "why" an application failed, and are able to respond quickly and confidently to maintain high availability.

Mutek's Black Box Flight Recorders for Software will be used by Microsoft Technology Center customers to increase availability and reliability of their applications on Windows operating system platforms, and will be available to MTC customers as part of the standard server and client configuration. Utilizing Mutek's Black Box solution during development, testing and staging, customers significantly improve code quality and time to market. Once their applications are put into production, customers gain unique insight into the dynamic, online execution of their applications to maintain high availability and pinpoint the root cause of any software malfunctions.
